Centro de Estudios Públicos
Hello everybody, I have seen the blogs of my mates and well they are super, but I`m not going to talk about a person, because these authors because they gives me fear in every exam.
I`m going to talk a site that all of you surely know: the site of the Center of Public Studies (CEP in spanish).
The link which you can enter in this website is "www.cepchile.cl" and its contains sections about surveys, publications and seminars. Actually I really don`t visit so much this site but I liked this in the past because of its principal publication: the "CEP survey", which shows the people opinion about politics, society, economy, etc. While in the present I learned that the surveys don`t necessarily represent what the people think, I guess that perhaps this kind of information was tha one that makes me like these themes ans the sociology.

Hi, everybody, today I have free theme, so I`m going to tell you about "Canto para una Semilla".
Canto para una Semilla is an album from the chilean band "Inti-Illimani", it was composed by Violeta Parra and Luis Advis. The master Luis Advis (who studied philosophy at the University of Chile), took the tenths of the chilean songwriter (of her book "Autobiografía en Décimas") and then convert its in eight songs about his life putting music to them. The lyrics talk about the family of Violeta, her childhood, her tempestuous love, the agreement of her poetry with the working-class needs and requests, the criticism and the denunciation of the domineering class, her death and ,finally, a great great song about the hope of the joining together of all the working-classes of America and him "move" or "omelette turns"; with this, Violeta means the change that the poor people deserve.
Here are a verses that I like: (referring to the domineering class)
Si el sol pudieran guardarlo
lo hicieran de buena gana,
de noche, tarde y mañana
quisieran acapararlo.
Por suerte que pa' alcanzarlo
se necesitan cojones.
